BENEFIT ROLLER LASH MASCARA | PRODUCT REVIEW













Happy Sunday lovelies, As usual I hope this week is treating you all well.
Been recuperating this week hence the lack of posts during this week but I suppose it gave you all a chance to catch up on my posts and videos etc. So Last week dolls I got the chance to attend the launch event at the Gibson hotel and it was super Fab! Filled with champagne and all sorts of yummy goodies plus I got to meet some other lovely YouTubers and Bloggers I watch (Hi Melanie ..Hi Grace).
The Product
The super innovative secret product being introduced was Benefit’s Brand new Roller Lash mascara, which will retail for €26. Unlike the Benefit They’re Real mascara (review here) which was made for naturally long lashes, Benefit’s roller lash was basically designed for people just like me, who those who weren’t particularly born with long beautiful eyelashes, who have smaller eyes and straighter lashes.

The brush has what in it ???
HOOKS ! This is the first mascara ever to have hooks in it’s brush dolls …. tiny almost invisible hooks! Which basically hook and grab each individual eyelash. Benefit tried many combinations before they came up with the perfect hook direction that makes the roller lash mascara what it is.

Formula and Wiper
Althought I fell in love with this product the moment I saw it on the model, I tested out the mascara for about a week to make sure my review on the product could be as accurate as possible and dolls I love it! It was just as beautiful on me as it was on the model above and it's 12 hours curl setting power holds up plus it also has a wiper that helps you dispense the perfect amount of product each time....... what more could you ask for ?

97% said it visibly lifts lashes
87% said it gives long-lasting curl
94% said eyes look more wide open!

 In the video on MsDebDeb I purposely did not wear any mascara so you can see the significant difference the Roller lash mascara adds to the volume of my lashes in the demo. I must say this volume holds up for the rest of the day (12 hours+) also so you will definitely get your money’s worth.

It's Sunday dolls, which means it's lé Post Day number two. Today I'm showing you dolls one of my Sunday outfits, in fact this is the first official Sunday OOTD on UBH. Well, most of you know that I'm a Christian which means on Sundays I like to dress up for church.
In today's post I'm wearing a green textured dress from H&M and I love this dress. Sometimes I like to try new things and maybe I normally wouldn't wear a dress like this but I decided to give it a try for church and surprisingly I ended up liking it more and feeling a lot more comfortable in it.

FEELING LIKE KANYE IN MY LEATHER PANTS | HOW I STYLE

Happy Sunday Dolls! Hope your weekend has been as awesome as mine.  Today’s post is actually a reflection on an outfit I shot for a magazine a few months ago and since I moved to the UK around that time it ended up not being published. I concluded that one must not let a good outfit go to waste so I thought I’d show you guys.

This outfit was a statement of it own to be honest never mind the colour of my hair. I mean look at me, I am wearing a leather Jacket and leather pants. KANYE ! has nothing on me. My hair at the time was a ginger/blonde colour, I loved it and kinda miss it now. I've also re-styled my Zara shirt from my Nigeria Outfit post and my Jefferey Campbell boots too. .....Check me out "Re-inventing and being more creative" lool.The leather pants were super comfortable and they keep your bum nice and warm in the winter months I must add.
Although, I don't think I would be wearing leather pants any other time of the year to be honest. *Laughs*

YSL TOUCHE ÉCLAT FOUNDATION REVIEW | BEAUTY


It’s Wednesday dolls, which means it’s time for a new post. I hope you are all well and your week has been productive so far!... it's almost Friday so hang in there.  Today’s post is a review on the high-end brand Yves Saint Laurent’s Touche Éclat Foundation which retails for £30/€40. Today I’m wearing and reviewing it in the shade B80.

  Let's start with a brief history lesson.
YSL first launched the Touche Éclat highlighter twenty years ago and it quickly became a legendary beauty product and is a lot of beauty fanatic's all-time favorite high-end highlighter.YSL's concept with the foundation version was to give customers the same illuminated look except this time for their entire face, essentially enhancing their natural complexion and radiance using natural light.  
The Touche Éclat is lightweight/medium coverage foundation, it feels pure on the face, silky texture, and erases imperfections. This foundation aims to target the dark areas of the face and enhance the wearer's natural features while defining their natural contour.

For the longest time, I  have looked for a foundation to replace my Mac Studio Fix Fluid NW46 foundation. I've tried and reviewed Bobbi Brown and now I've tried YSL. I love Mac don't get me wrong, but Mac foundations can be a tiny bit too heavy and slightly off shade (although Mac foundations always look on point in pictures). I did a lot of research online and decided to get a week's tester for the Touche Éclat. The beauty counter girl matched me to B80 which was a perfect match for me at the time. I used the tester for a week, got a lot of compliments and so I bought it a while later.  

Pros
-Oil free/Water Based
-Beautiful Packaging
-Lightweight on the face
-Buildable coverage
-Silky feel and radiant on the face
-Small amount goes a very long way on the face
Cons
-Pump over-dispenses product
-Lacking variety in darker shades (3 dark shades)
-Lacking SPF
-Can get too luminous after a few hours on oily skin type.
- Not adaptable to slight skin tone changes

My Thoughts?
My first impression of Yves Saint Laurent's Touche Éclat was that it was a really comfortable foundation to wear, Touche Éclat is without dispute weightless and radiant on the skin. One can choose to use it as a slight touchup on the face or build on the coverage by adding a little more at a time to certain areas. I truly do like this foundation, but my affection for the Touche Éclat Foundation ends at a "Like". Now you must be wondering, why?

In theory, this is a great foundation, but the YSL Touche Éclat has elements about it that might put me off re-purchasing it EVER!. 
  1. There was only three dark shades in the collection which to me is ridiculous in the year 2015, black people are NOT only three shades. This is what frustrates me about certain makeup brands and their usual excuse "darker tones don't sell, so we have to cut the line short". 
  2. Another thing is how glowy it gets after a few hours....not oily... glowy!  The foundation is supposed to be luminous, which means highlighting your face after wearing it is just pointless! So unless you are someone that just wears foundation and gets out their door then this isn't the foundation for you. 
  3. Thirdly Touche Éclat is missing SPF, This means if you have hyperpigmentation like I do slightly around my mouth then it's not great choice for you.
  4. Lastly, My skin tone changed slightly over the summer and I don't think the Touche Éclat foundation adapted as well as Mac or Bobbi Brown would have. 
So in conclusion I do like the Touche Éclat Foundation but it personally needs adjusting for me to ever consider buying another bottle.
